About the Thai-UK Trust
The Thai-UK Trust was founded in 2004 and registered in 2006, a non-profit, not sectarian and non-government trust, UK charity registration: 1114746. Set up to help relieve the hardship of the sick, poor and needy and to ease the suffering among victims of natural disasters. The purpose of the trust is to bring the people of Thailand and the United Kingdom together and by organising events such as The Thai Festival enabling local UK residents to experience a taste of Thailand.
- 2004 The Thai Festival donated £13,000 to Thai and local London charities through the Royal Thai Embassy.
- 2006 the Thai-UK Trust organised a Celebration Dinner and Charity Auction at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. This single event raised over £40,000 for The Kings Project’s charity, the Chaipattana Foundation supporting the rural farming areas in Thailand.
- 2008 the Thai-UK Trust organised The Thai Festival at Battersea Park's British Genius Site which was a huge success.
